Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American actor and singer, is a former model. Her most well-known role was co-starring in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6. The group was just one of the female performers who gained from Prince's collaboration during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica in California in 1959. Her career started as a model in the late 1970s. Also, she made an appearance on CHiPS. In 1984, she was a part of the main lady in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period of time, he changed her name.) Her replacement was Vanity as a member of the female trio Vanity 6 who performed in the film with Apollonia 6 under their name. The trio scored a modest smash with Sex Shooter however it was as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she made an impact on the charts. When the two had a disagreement regarding the direction she was taking in her career Apollonia six broke up and Kotero ended her association with Prince. Following her appearance in minor movies (and as of the reports, refusing to take part on The Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon) her name was mentioned and she was a part of the 1985-86 nighttime drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988, but it was an average mix of dance and R&B music that did not really draw attention from the audience. The album was quickly wiped from view.
