Alves was born Rodrigo Alves on 30 July 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Alves's Brazilian mother and a British father. Roserval Alves was Roserval's father. He was born in Portugal and came to Brazil in 1940. [5] Initially the family focused on farming but expanded their business involvement to include retail centers, as well as real estate.
